General Assembly and Discussion Event 2018
On 6 and 7 November 2018 we will have our next General Assembly and Discussion Event. On the evening of the 6th of November we will have our annual meeting, presentation of a new Columbus Award Strategy and dinner. Pharmapack Europe 2018, 7-8 February
Pharmapack Europe 2018 (#pharmapackeu) is Europe’s dedicated pharmaceutical packaging and drug delivery conference and exhibition taking place on 7–8 February at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Paris. The packed event programme includes key note speeches from leading industry figures, a symposium, educational workshops, and a learning lab, that will explore regulatory changes and impacts, challenges in packaging & devices development: biologics, materials, sustainability and quality consistency, and how new patient-centric innovations in drug delivery will revolutionise lives and improve treatment adherence. The winner of the Columbus Award 2017 will also give a presentation at the event.

General Assembly and Columbus Packaging Award 2017

HCPC Europe Discussion Event 2017
On 17 November 2017, the annual HCPC Europe Discussion Event about “Overcoming barriers for the implementation of Patient Friendly Pack Designs” featured a number of speakers from universities who gave presentations about their research. We also had a patient representative who shared her experience with packaging. These presentations are meant to inspire and fuel the discussion about improving packaging in a way that it will help to improve patients’ lives. Click here for more information about the programme.

On 3 May 2017 our Board member Gabriele Iannizzotto (Palladio Group) will give a presentation on behalf of HCPC Europe at this well-known event in the Pharmaceutical sector, where Technology Manufacturers, End Users and System Integrators meet and discuss Technologies, Solutions and Services in the field of AIDC (Automatic Identification and Data Capture), IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) such as RFID and Industrial SW solutions, including MES for the management of data and events in Real Time for Industry 4.0. Pharmapack Europe 2017
The winners of the Columbus Award 2016 spoke in the conference programme of Pharmapack Europe 2017. Funso Olufade of Daiichi-Sankyo gave a presentation about their packaging design that won the Columbus Award 2016 for Commercially available products on 1 February at 15:30: “Beyond the Pill” – A life-cycle management program for oral tablets. That same day at 17:05, Gabriele Iannizzotto of Palladio Group, winner of the Columbus Award 2016 for Concepts, gave a presentation about their solution: Case study from the winner of HCPC awards 2016 – PhutureMed™: Advanced Packaging Solution for Pharmaceuticals.

Our treasurer, Thomas Dries (Honeywell), gave a presentation about patient friendly packaging on 2 May 2016 at a meeting of the Geriatric Medicines Society in Frankfurt, Germany.
On 27 April 2016 Phill Marley (AstraZeneca) gave a presentation on ‘Putting the Patient First – Patient-Friendly Packaging’ in the Making Pharmaceuticals Seminar Programme. The seminar was part of the Making Pharmaceuticals Exhibition & Conference on 26 and 27 April in the National Conference Centre in Birmingham, UK.
